Fred. Holidays is offering intrepid travellers the opportunity to enjoy a true adventure along the mighty Brahmaputra on a brand new 10-night Pandaw cruise between Guwahati and the northern city of Dibrugarh that ventures further than ever into the untouched upper reaches of Assam.
Launching in October 2024, The Full Brahmaputra cruise will visit the lesser-known Dibru Saikhowa National Park which is rich in mammal life including tigers, leopards, elephants and the famous wild horses that are descended from animals that escaped army camps during World War II; explore the world’s largest river island of Majuli with its unparalleled beauty and fascinating culture; search for the elusive greater one-horned Indian rhinoceros and Indian tiger in Kaziranga National Park; take a boat safari on the Eastern range of Kaziranga to observe wildlife such as eagles, vultures, water buffalo and monitor lizards; and visit a tea estate and factory that produces the famous Assam tea.
The cruise takes place on the RV Kalaw Pandaw, an ultra-light ship combining one of the shallowest drafts on the river with one of the highest passenger space ratios afloat.
