Star Clippers 2025 Summer Departures Preview

The Italian town of Otranto, in the Puglia region, has been added as a brand new port of call for selected sailings in 2025. Southern France’s Saint Raphael is also a new addition, and Nice makes its debut as a home-port for the tall-ship cruise line.

Otranto, Italy’s easternmost town known for charming architecture and beautiful views across the Adriatic Sea, will be visited by Star Flyer on 8th July and 26th August 2025. It is a part of the popular 11-night Venice to Rome itinerary, which also sees Star Flyer calling into Mali Losinj (Croatia), Hvar (Croatia), Dubrovnik (Croatia), Kotor (Montenegro), Taormina (Sicily, Italy), Lipari (Italy), Amalfi (Italy) and Ponza (Italy). Cruise-only prices start at £2547pp.

In addition, Star Flyer will be calling into the French Riviera’s Saint Raphael for the first time in 2025, with visits scheduled for 15th May, 22nd May and 16th October 2025. Saint Raphael boasts landmark churches, rocky coves and beautiful gardens and offers the perfect balance between cultural heritage and relaxation. It features on selected Cannes to Cannes and Nice to Nice roundtrips and cruise-only prices start at £1620pp.

Five sailings in September and October 2025 will depart from and sail into Nice, in a move that allows guests to enjoy a newly enhanced and comprehensive journey around Italy, Corsica and the French Riviera. The sailings depart on September 20th & 27th and October 4th, 11th & 18th 2025.

Summer 2025 sailings are now available to book – the ‘2025 Summer Departures’ preview brochure can be viewed here.

Star Clippers operates three of the world’s largest and tallest fully-crewed sailing vessels. The ships can drop anchor in smaller harbours and visit ports often untouched by larger cruise ships whilst providing guests with the amenities and atmosphere of a private yacht.

High standards of service are provided by an attentive crew and all three ships have expansive teak decks, swimming pools, informal dining, a convivial Tropical Bar on deck and a comfortable piano bar and are large enough to offer first class accommodation and dining.

The two smaller ships, Star Flyer and Star Clipper take 166 guests each, with a crew of 74, while Royal Clipper carries 227 with a crew of 106.
