So, who am I? I am a 61 year old civil servant who spent 21 years at sea in the Royal Navy, visiting many parts of the world. My love of the sea has stayed with me.
Married to Lisa, we started cruising in 2017 with a Caribbean Cruise with Celebrity Reflection. Since then we have sailed with Marella (Discovery 2) in the Mediterranean , Norwegian (Gem) Caribbean, Princess (Sky) post Covid Seacation and Celebrity (Eclipse), the subject of my first blog.
As we endeavour to take more and more cruises, since I started the blog we have booked 2 more cruises; one with Celebrity and one with Princess. This adds to the cruise on Azamara Pursuit that we already have booked for this November. The plan is to as the years go by, try as many different lines as possible as well as expedition and river cruising.
As we step closer towards retirement, we intend to cruise as often as possible, spending our children’s inheritance as we go; they won’t need it anyway as they all have good jobs!
So why the blog? First and foremost to share our experiences as we cruise different parts of the world. If one comment or bit of advice is useful to someone else it has all been worth it.
Also, as I get older I want some kind of a record of our travels, this is the perfect platform to enable me to do it.
