Regent Seven Seas Cruises, the world’s leading ultra-luxury cruise line, celebrated a momentous milestone in Seven Seas Prestige’s construction journey as the ship floated from dry dock on November 27, 2025.

As the first new ship class for Regent in 10 years, Seven Seas Prestige will usher in a new legacy for ultra-luxury cruising.

“Seven Seas Prestige touching water for the first time marks an extraordinary moment for Regent Seven Seas Cruises, representing the culmination of years of planning and collaboration with our long-standing partners at Fincantieri,” said Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer for Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

“The overwhelming response to this vessel affirms that discerning travelers recognize something truly exceptional is on the horizon; emphasized by the ship’s launch day which became our biggest single booking day for a new ship in our history. From the unprecedented Skyview Regent Suite to every thoughtfully designed detail, Seven Seas Prestige embodies our dedication to redefining ultra-luxury travel.”

The float-out ceremony took place at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy. Fincantieri’s Brunetta Casara served as Madrina, performing the traditional shattering of the champagne bottle against the hull, and cutting the ceremonial ribbon following a prayer by the shipyard chaplain.

The dry dock was then flooded, officially completing the milestone moment.

Marco Spiga, Senior Director, Project Manager, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, addressed attendees and expressed gratitude to Fincantieri for their continued partnership and collaboration in bringing Seven Seas Prestige to life.

With this significant phase complete, the next generation ship will now move to the outfitting pier for its final construction stages, where the designers will fit the lavish suites – including the Skyview Regent Suite, the largest all-inclusive, ultra-luxury cruise ship suite in history – along with elegant lounges and exquisite restaurants that will define the unrivaled experience aboard Seven Seas Prestige.

Set to debut in December 2026 as Regent’s seventh ship and the first of three new Prestige-class ships, Seven Seas Prestige is the highly anticipated addition to The World’s Most Luxurious Fleet.

This central moment marks the beginning of an ambitious new chapter for Regent, with a second Prestige-class ship confirmed for 2030 and a third vessel announced for 2033 – a strategic expansion that will give discerning travelers even more opportunities to experience the joy of ultra-luxury cruising in over 550 destinations across the globe.

At 77,000 tons and accommodating just 822 guests with 630 dedicated crew members, Seven Seas Prestige will offer one of the highest crew-to-guest ratios in the cruise industry – 40 percent larger than previous Regent ships yet accommodating only 10 percent more guests, delivering truly Unrivaled Space at Sea.

Across the inaugural season, Seven Seas Prestige will embark on 13 extraordinary voyages across Europe and the Caribbean, including two transatlantic crossings.

These carefully curated itineraries, ranging from 10 to 15 nights, will showcase exceptional destinations and immersive experiences – from Regent’s private island paradise, Harvest Caye, Belize, to two transits of the Panama Canal, and overnight stays in culturally rich cities including London, England; Lisbon, Portugal; and Bordeaux, France.

About Seven Seas Prestige – A New Legacy Begins
Set to be delivered in late 2026, Seven Seas Prestige follows the tremendous success of Regent’s Explorer-Class vessels, also built by Fincantieri, and will mark Regent’s first new ship class in 10 years.

At 77,000 tons and carrying just 822 guests with 630 dedicated crew members, Seven Seas Prestige offers one of the highest space-to-guest and crew-to-guest ratios in the cruise industry.

With a crew-to-guest ratio of 1:1.31 and a ship that is 40% larger than previous Regent ships yet accommodates only 10% more guests, it delivers truly Unrivaled Space at Sea. The ship’s beautifully appointed all-balcony suites usher in a new era of ultra-luxury accommodation with 12 distinctive categories — including four all-new suite types: the largest all-inclusive, ultra luxury cruise ship suite in history: the Skyview Regent Suite; the striking two-level Skyview Suites with private terrace decks accessed via in-suite elevators; the contemporary Grand Loft Suites with soaring ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows; and the Horizon Penthouse Suites featuring expansive balconies designed for al fresco living.

These accommodations are complemented by elegant, thoughtfully designed public spaces and lounges — such as the Starlight Atrium and Galileo’s Bar — as well as an array of dining options, including Azure, a new mezze-style Mediterranean concept, rounding out 7 specialty restaurants and 11 dining experiences in total.

The new features will further elevate the all-inclusive, unrivaled luxury experience which Regent is renowned for, with inclusions such as unlimited shore excursions in every port of call, gourmet cuisine in a range of specialty and al fresco dining venues, fine wines and spirits, onboard entertainment, Starlink WiFi access, valet laundry service, pre-paid gratuities, and a one-night pre-cruise hotel package for guests in Concierge-level suites and above.
