From his expertise, he has revealed the hidden gems which are only accessible by bike that Brits must visit when they’re on a cruise or on a land-based holiday:

For beginners, Juan suggested to explore Katakolon, Greece by bike as it has flat terrain and stunning scenery.

This coastal village off the Elis Region in Greece only has a population of 500 residents. Bikers can start their journey by cycling through the village’s bike trail, which is only accessible for those on two wheels or feet, and explore the untouched watermelon fields.

Home to approximately 2,500 watermelons, this field is a feast for the eyes with its range of green and red colours.

Along the trail, the route goes past the famous Olympia, archaeological site, as well as local beaches such as Agios Llias Beach, ideal for swimming and relaxation after a cycle.

Another route for beginners is Palamos, Spain which offers riders a chance to travel through a range of plantations including apple orchards, vineyards, rice, wheat, barley and fresh tomatoes.

Known for having suitable bike lanes, the route leads cyclists into the town centre to grab a local delicacy such as local wines, cured meat and fresh prawns, before allowing guests to unwind by the sandy beach Cala de la Fosca of Palamos.

The mix of landscapes and gentle terrain makes it a favourite for guests of all abilities.

A popular ebike tour, which is usually fully booked, and more tailored to experienced riders, is on the Caribbean island of Aruba.

This countryside route offers low traffic, accessible bike lanes, breathtaking beaches and stunning views. Stops include the famous California Lighthouse and a cultural coconut smoothie stand, where locals craft home grown coconuts into delicious smoothies – a perfect way to keep the energy up whilst cycling around the island.
