Amadeus River Cruises has unveiled its 2027 5-Star Tailor Made River Cruises programme, featuring 30 new shore excursions, a brand new luxury ship on the Rhine and Danube and savings of up to £1,041 per person if booked before 28th February 2027.
This is the earliest that Amadeus River Cruises has ever launched in the UK and it comes on the back of increased customer demand.
The 2027 programme includes 15 different itineraries through France, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania with an enhanced and carefully-curated excursions programme offering new cultural, culinary and active experiences designed to suit a wide range of traveller interests.
Cultural highlights
New cultural excursions allow guests to explore some of Europe’s most iconic destinations, including the Triberg Waterfalls in Germany’s Black Forest, the medieval town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a full-day tour of Brussels featuring the Atomium and Cinquantenaire Park, and a journey through Nuremberg following in the footsteps of renowned artist Albrecht Dürer.
Culinary experiences
Food and wine lovers can immerse themselves in regional flavours, from Norman brewing traditions with tastings of apple wine, apple brandy and aperitifs, to discovering Cologne’s distinctive beer culture, or enjoying a Riesling tasting in the historic wine cellar of Eberbach Abbey.
Active adventures
Amadeus River Cruises is introducing a range of active excursions featuring guided cycling tours through the Camargue and North Holland, relaxed e-bike routes along the Danube in the Wachau and Klosterneuburg, and scenic guided hikes such as the Seine to Côte Sainte-Catherine in Rouen, the Heidelberg Philosopher’s Walk, and Bulgaria’s unspoilt Rusenski Lom Nature Park.
Introducing AMADEUS Mira
Joining the fleet in spring 2027, the five-star AMADEUS Mira will accommodate 158 guests in 12 spacious suites with balconies and 67 cabins featuring panoramic windows.
Guests can savour culinary highlights in the elegant Panorama Restaurant, unwind on the sun deck with its outdoor pool and Lido Bar, stay active in the state-of-the-art fitness room or enjoy an al fresco drink while watching the world go by on the River Terrace.
The new ship will also be sustainable with cutting-edge environmental technologies such as a hybrid propulsion system and an efficient heat recovery system.
AMADEUS Mira will operate a range of itineraries on the Rhine and Danube including tulip cruises from Amsterdam, scenic journeys from Trier to Passau, voyages to the Danube Delta, and an immersive 15-day sailing from Amsterdam to Budapest.

Prices for the 2027 programme start from £1,420 per person for a five-day Magic of Advent on the Rhine cruise on AMADEUS Mira departing 12th December 2027.
