Margaritaville at Sea has announced it is further expanding its industry-leading Heroes Sail Free program by offering a limited quantity of first-come, first-served double-occupancy free fare cabins for both qualifying Heroes and their guest aboard across all sailings including the recently launched Margaritaville at Sea Islander.
This significant expansion of the cruise line’s industry-leading “Heroes Sail Free” program will now allow U.S. military service members (active duty and veterans), police, firefighters, EMS personnel, nurses, and educators to sail on all Caribbean, Mexico and Bahamas cruise vacations for only the cost of taxes, fees and port expenses.
“We are constantly looking for new ways to recognize the tireless work and sacrifice of our front-line Heroes, who give so much to our country each day. Our newest ship, the Margaritaville at Sea Islander, has received rave reviews from recent guests, and we want to do everything we can to make sure our Heroes receive an incredibly well-deserved vacation, especially as we expand into the Tampa market, home to several military groups and families,” said Christopher Ivy, CEO of Margaritaville at Sea.
“We are committed to continuing to be the best cruise line for our Heroes. By expanding the program to all ships and all destinations, including the all-new Islander, we are reaffirming our commitment to the tens of thousands of Heroes who have sailed with Margaritaville at Sea by giving them even more options to sail with us more frequently.”
Margaritaville at Sea’s industry-first “Heroes Sail Free” program launched in 2022 through a partnership with GovX.com, and has since enabled tens of thousands of Heroes and their guests to sail with Margaritaville at Sea.
In addition to expanding the program to include the all-new Islander, the cruise line is enhancing the program in two additional ways. Previously, the program only allowed Heroes to sail once per year on 2-night Bahamas cruises out of Palm Beach, but has been expanded to include unlimited usage throughout the year on all available sailings up to and including 3, 4,5,6 and 7 night vacations.
Additionally, Heroes now receive best available retail pricing with an industry leading 20% incremental discount on top of any sales or benefits available online for any booking where Free Heroes Cabins are sold out or a different stateroom type is desired.
These expanded program offerings ensure Heroes can sail as much as they want and always receive the best available rates, no matter the time of year.
The brand continues to find new and innovative ways to support the Heroes community by ensuring these individuals are recognized for their service on every sailing.
In addition to 12 restaurants, 13 bars and lounges, three pools and nightly theater productions, including two new jaw-dropping original production shows onboard, Heroes will enjoy an extra-special moment of recognition aboard the Islander at the “Salute to Heroes,” hosted by the ship’s Cruise Director Zoltina-Jay (Zee-Jay) Medwik-Dailey each sailing.
“I come from a long line of law enforcement officers, and I see every day the sacrifices they make in order to keep us safe,” said Zoltina-Jay.
“And like many others, if it weren’t for our service men and women who have fought on the front lines, my life could have been much different. That is why it is not only an honor, but a privilege for me to thank our Heroes who sail with us each cruise.”
To receive this exclusive offer, only available with Margaritaville at Sea, Heroes will continue to book online through the link available on GovX.com or at margaritavilleatsea.com/offers/Heroessailfree/.
