Less than a year ago, the steel cutting of Mein Schiff Flow took place at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy.

Now the keel laying of the latest newbuilding of the Mein Schiff fleet has taken place there. Wybcke Meier, CEO TUI Cruises and Cristiano Bazzara, Director of the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, together with the team, have given the go-ahead for this important construction phase of the second ship of the InTUItion ship class.

The two newbuildings Mein Schiff Relax and Mein Schiff Flow are traditionally built in block construction at the Fincantieri shipyard.

The troncone part, the front section of the ship, has now been hauled in dry dock and has already been supplemented with other ship blocks built in the shipyard.

Now the other blocks are gradually installed and connected to each other until the ship has reached its silhouette.

“Keel layings of our ships are always particularly emotional,” says Wybcke Meier, CEO TUI Cruises. Mein Schiff Flow, the sister ship of Mein Schiff Relax, is now taking more and more shape every day.

What is also special for us is that the feedback from guests has once again been incorporated into the development of the new ship class and, for example, the Atlantik restaurant is returning to its very special place with the best location at the stern,” says Wybcke Meier, CEO TUI Cruises.

Leave the hustle and bustle and obligations of everyday life far behind and rediscover inner lightness and light-heartedness on an incomparable journey – that’s what Mein Schiff Flow invites you to do.

The light and airy design is evident in the public areas, suites and cabins. Guests on board can look forward to the highest level of enjoyment, freedom and relaxation with which the Mein Schiff fleet has always set standards on the world’s oceans.

Among other things, with the Mein Schiff premium inclusive services and the wide range of options for unforgettable feel-good experiences at sea.

Sustainable growth: Second ship with gas propulsion

With Mein Schiff Flow, TUI Cruises will put the third new ship in three years into service in 2026. TUI Cruises is also focusing on environmental and climate protection with the new ship class: Mein Schiff Flow, like Mein Schiff Relax, runs on liquefied gas.

In the future, the two ships can also be operated with low-emission and climate-friendly BIO and e-LNG – a significant step towards climate-neutral cruising.
