AIDA Cruises has unveiled its 2027 summer cruise program. It’s time to start planning the next vacation, and the options are plentiful.

More than 470 AIDA voyages are now available for booking, with departure dates ranging from March to October 2027.

The voyages in summer 2027 will take you to some of the most beautiful locations that nature and culture have to offer. These locations will inspire vacations like straight out of a film.

Northland cruises with the magic of fjords and ice

Norway, with its impressive fjords, majestic mountains, and picturesque villages, is reminiscent of the breathtaking backdrop of “The Ice Queen.” The world-famous series “Game of Thrones” used the impressive landscapes of Thingvellir National Park in Iceland as a setting.

AIDA’s summer 2027 cruises to the far north therefore offer plenty of material for captivating visual imagery.

A particular highlight is the AIDAprima and AIDAnova voyages to the Norwegian fjords of Geirangerfjord and Nærøyfjord, both of which are World Heritage Sites.

Cruises to the Arctic Circle, England, Scotland, and Ireland are also very popular, as are the northern destinations of Lofoten, the North Cape, and Greenland, which are therefore once again firmly on the AIDA summer 2027 schedule.

Baltic Sea cruises to the land of “Pippi Longstocking” and beyond

When it comes to Sweden, one immediately thinks of “Pippi Longstocking” and her legendary adventures. The idyllic island of Gotland, where many scenes from the films were shot, offers a glimpse into Pippi’s imaginative world.

The authentic charm of the Baltic Sea region, with its picturesque coastal towns, stretches from Denmark to Finland — a destination for many AIDA cruises in the summer of 2027.

Two small Swedish towns along the Baltic Sea coast will be visited for the first time: Henning Mankell fans will be particularly excited to visit cozy Ystad, where the popular Kurt Wallander films are set.

Lysekil, a paradise of an archipelago, cuts a fine figure as a seaside resort and has countless historical sights to delight visitors.

Voyages that last from three to 14 days are available for those who want to explore the Baltic Sea. For example, from Warnemünde, AIDAmar sails to Stockholm, then on to Kemi and Oulu in Finland, and finally to Riga, Klaipėda, Gdansk, and Karlskrona — a real highlight of the program!

The magnificent archipelago landscape is also fascinating. AIDAbella and AIDAdiva also offer Baltic Sea and Scandinavian routes.

The Western Mediterranean provides a picturesque backdrop for vacation moments.

The Western Mediterranean region has inspired countless filmmakers. From the historic sites of Rome to the idyllic villages of Sicily and the picturesque landscapes of Tuscany, famous film locations can be found around every corner.

The epic film “Gladiator” brought the ancient world of Rome to the big screen in an impressive way, with the Colosseum serving as an iconic backdrop.

The film “The Godfather” was shot in Sicily. The island still attracts movie fans today with its rugged charm.

The stunning landscape of Tuscany, with its rolling hills and vineyards, provides the ideal setting for the cinematic masterpiece, “The English Patient.”

Its rolling hills, picturesque villages, and historic villas served as the perfect setting for the tragic love story. The list could go on almost endlessly.

The AIDA cruises in the western Mediterranean offer just as many opportunities for cinematic vacation moments, for example with AIDAcosma on the one-week highlight route “Mediterranean Treasures,” which includes stops in Palma, Florence, Rome, Corsica, and Barcelona.

Those with a little more time can explore the diverse cities and islands of the western Mediterranean on 10- and 11-day AIDAstella voyages.

A highlight of the summer of 2027 is the solar eclipse on August 2, which can be seen from AIDAcosma in Gibraltar and from AIDAstella at sea.

And action! For adventure in the Eastern Mediterranean

The breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage of the Eastern Mediterranean have been the setting for numerous James Bond films.

The films “Skyfall” and “The World Is Not Enough” used the vibrant city of Istanbul as a backdrop.

The Hagia Sophia, the Grand Bazaar and the city skyline served as the backdrop for the famous action scenes. “For Your Eyes Only” is set on the Greek island of Corfu with its spectacular landscapes, impressive cliffs and crystal-clear water.

It’s just as well that the breathtaking sunsets, the famous Mediterranean hospitality and the delicious cuisine also lend themselves to the filming of his own travel adventures.

AIDAstella, for example, combines voyages to Greece with a call in Istanbul or Egypt. With AIDAblu, guests can experience the highlights of the Adriatic coast from April to October on 7-day voyages from Corfu.

These trips can be combined with a visit to Crete, Zakynthos, Kusadasi in Turkey and Athens or with a side trip to Malta, Sicily, Kefalonia and Olympia and can also be booked as 14-day cruises.

A blockbuster for special destinations

The “Globetrotter” cruise on the AIDAstella is perfect for those who want to explore unique places and can’t get enough of the sea.

From March to June of 2027, you can stroll through Tokyo’s parks during cherry blossom season, explore the volcanic heritage of Port Louis in Mauritius, and photograph gentle pachyderms in Addo Elephant National Park near Port Elizabeth. It will be hard to choose a favorite from all these cinematic locations!
